Towards a sustainable environment
At Refrigeration Engineering, we are continually researching and implementing ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve the performance of our operations.
We believe that sustainable development is about ensuring both our business and our client’s business both remain viable and contribute lasting benefits to society through the consideration of social, environmental, ethical and economic aspects in all that we do.
Significant research and development has been undertaken towards the use of natural refrigerants which have zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a very low or zero global warming potential (GWP).
We phased out CFC and HCFC refrigerants well before this was required under the Montreal Protocol, and we successfully use ammonia and natural hydrocarbon refrigerants in our process refrigeration and vapour recovery units, to assist our customers to meet new carbon emission targets.
